Product Review- Forefront Forerunner Paste
I'm so excited to do my first product review for this blog! Don't worry many more will follow, but I wanted to start off with a new product that we've just started using and so far we love it and think it's going to be a big game changer in our program.
Most of you have probably not heard of the supplement company Forefront. In a sea of supplements its hard for one to stand out. I had never even heard of the company until I was hired as their photographer to shoot Fallon Taylor for them. Of course I'm nosy and want to know more about the products I photograph so I did my research and was pretty impressed. After chatting with them a bit they found out who my husband was and wanted to jump on board as a sponsor. Sponsor packages are my favorite to get in the mail and receiving theirs felt better than Christmas!
We got Forerunner, Forelyte and AllStar (don't worry reviews on this products will follow). Forerunner is their pre and post performance paste and with the heavy show schedule we keep and the high intensity work that our reining horses do I couldn't wait to try this at an event. Well last week we were at Heritage Classic and this presented the perfect opportunity. Hot, muggy Katy weather and classes every day for our horses usually mean that we don't have a lot of horse by the end of the show. To me its important that we keep these guys feeling their best, tired horses easily become injured horses, but I don't want hot, excited horses either. Forerunner is designed to speed up recovery in the horse and that's exactly what we needed. But how well was it going to work?
Well I'm happy to report it was just what it says! Each tube is four doses, you give a dose two hours before the event, and after the event. The product itself smells and tastes a lot like cookie dough and was easy to administer from the tube (and added bonus our horses are learning to like tube products now so worming will be easier). Our top show horse Dun It In Ten aka Eve aka The Hippo was my main test subject. She's Mark's mount for the AQHA World Show this year and she was starting the show in the Int Open class which normally means a tired horse the rest of the week. Well we gave her the paste and had a happy fresh horse all week! And Eve (who is our resident fat kid) is very hard to keep fresh. She's 7 this year and has been shown hard since she was 3, so needless to say a product that keeps her feeling good is a product that will be going with us to every show! With so many aged horses its important that we keep them in top condition and help them recovery as fast as possible and Forerunner is definitely going to help us do that!
Each tube is just $19.95 so basically $5/dose, so I'm going to give it my good deal stamp of approval!
